jenseits meines Lebens Chemie: The making of PhD (Intro)

Teringat kata2 dari seorang co-supervisor yg sgt aku kagumi...Prof. Dato' Dr. Abu Bakar Salleh

"once you start it, you have to finish it!!" That's one of my strength indeed!!

A successful viva with minor correction in 4th January 2013.Thanks to God who helping me out to 'survive' over the last 3-4 years as a Ph.D student. At this hour, I'm trying my best to submit my thesis correction before the Ph.D awarded !!

Lets share some experience towards my Ph.D journey from start to finish..

1st Semester

-Being as a research assistant at Forestry Faculty, UPM for two months.
-Looking for a potential supervisor!!
-Yes,accepted as research assistant at Biotechnology Faculty,UPM
-New research begin!!
-Looking,ordering,buying chemicals, all kind of stuffs and start doing a pre-lab dgn kata lain...play around with chemicals..campur sane-sini chemicals trying to make a conducive environment..
-November 2007 registered as a Master Student.

2nd Semester

-Being a super excited student with research...rajin la konon!
-Attending classes dlm keadaan terpaksa....univ lain xde g kelas2 bagai..focus on research je..
-Apply scholorship (NSF)-interview at PICC-alhamdulillah got it!!
-Meneruskan research yg macam dah 'nampak' skit hala tuju..
-Writing paper.....................submitted!!!

3rd Semester

-kene pergi BTN as a NSF scholorship holder dalam keterpaksaan..reluctant to do so sbb time ni tgh hangat bercinta dgn chenta hati...lost contact!!(~~seminggu je pun~~)
-Receiving a called from one of friend (curi2 guna phone kat tgh hutan belantara),said my paper was ACCEPTED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!hoyeahhhhhhhhh bukan kepalang..!!
- Meeting----------------->Efliza, why don't u convert je?!convert??apakah??!!
-A very terrible conversion process Master to Ph.D!!
-Meeting with commitee/faculty/SGS--->written exam---->oral exam------>phewwwwwwww..
-Meneruskan research dan kelas seperti biasa...

4th Semester

-Alhamdulillah...........conversion approved (18 August 2009)!!
-New life as a Ph.D student!!
-Masih lagi blur2 seperti tidak percaya macam mana aku boleh dapat dgn sekejap masa...
-Tuhan Maha Kaya...He know his planned indeed!!Aku hanya merancang..Tuhan yang menentukan segalanya...Masha Allah...
- Elaun NSF pula bertukar angka RM1560--->RM2300....joli katak hokehhh!!!
-Eh aku dan chenta hati engaged (21 November 2009)

5th Semester

- Stress menjalani hidup sebagai seorang penyelidik bermula!!
- Pagi-ptg-siang-malam hidup bermain dgn chemicals-No social life indeed!!
- 2 1/2 months later--------->MARRIED!!
- Menangis ketawa suka duka bersama!!

6th Semester

- Research as usual!!
- Eh dah jadi isteri org!!(14 February 2010)
- 6 months later, a week after raya, research attachment to Spain--------->leaving my chenta hati.
-Alone in SPAIN...........gile meroyan kejap..but enjoying the life there!!
-'Insane' research..new life with new environment!!
-Last chapter in my Ph.D research!!
-Writing thesis begin in SPAIN..without anyone messed me up...!!

7th Semester

-Going back to Malaysia----> Alhamdulillah jumpa org tersyg semula!!
-Writing up thesis yg sepatutnya boleh habis dah for this semester!!
-Hehehehe...ehem ehem...pregnant pula!!

8th Semester

-Gedik2 manja first time pregnant..writing thesis pun menjadi seperti kura2..
-Lembap sungguh progress thesis!!
-Dtg lab...writing sket---tido--borak2 bertonyeh dgn labmate!!
-Rasa cm kejap je masa berlalu...semester ini hanya sia2!!

9th Semester

- Bersalin------>gedik2 manja lagi ------>berpantang!!
-Thesis aku tolak tepi for a few months....enjoying my great life as a mother!!
-Gile kentang berchenta nak bukak thesis semula!!
-Dlm keterpaksaan,writing thesis aku gagahkan juga!!
-Done thesis!! (September 2012)
-Viva supposely held on 29 Dec 2012------->postponed to 4 Jan 2013!!
-Abah warded at IJN!!

10th Semester

-Officially aku tamat menjalani hidop sebagai seorang pelajar Ph.D!!
-Alhamdulillah,syukur yang tidak terhingga!!Terima kasih Tuhan!!
